Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa has weighed in on the roles of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and that of the newly created office of Prime Cabinet Secretary. Speaking in an interview with K24 on Wednesday, Didmus said their roles are not the same and Gachagua is on top hierarchically. I say so because the president, made it very clear that after him there is Gachagua and after he is the prime cabinet secretary in the hierarchy." Barasa said it could only be a problem if they were both on the same level in the government with the same roles. A section of politicians claimed Gachagua and Mudavadi’s roles might overlap and occassion clash.
