INDIANAPOLIS (AP) " Gabby Chaves led Indianapolis 500 practice Thursday with a fast lap of 227.961 mph as Honda topped the speed chart for the third straight practice session. Montoya, the 2015 Indianapolis 500 winner, and Ryan Hunter-Reay, who won it in 2014, both had their days cut short. Munoz, Townsend Bell and Marco Andretti topped some of the fastest speeds both days. WHAT'S NEXT: Another six hours of practice on Friday followed by the Indy 500 qualifying draw. Montoya lost power to his car midway through Thursday's practice and Hunter-Reay lost his engine with under two hours remaining in practice, a day after posting the fastest lap during practice on Wednesday.
