That these efforts have failed to stop Putin is self-evident by Russia’s continuing efforts to interfere in our elections. Russian election interference is not a return to the Cold War, when we competed for world influence. President-elect Biden has said Russia should “pay a price” for its attempts to influence our elections – including his own! Two new policies are essential:• Stop all U.S.- Russian trade. These measures by the U.S. in response to Russian election interference does not of course preclude the U.S. and Russia from cooperating on mutually advantage issues.
