GST launch celebrations: It's official, Congress won't attend Parliament event tomorrow


The Congress won't attend the Goods and Services Tax (GST) launch celebrations which will be held tomorrow in the Parliament, party leader Satyavrat Chaturvedi said. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress (TMC) and M Karunanidi's Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) have already boycotted the event. The Nationalist Congress Party, Bahujan Samaj Party, Samajwadi Party and Rashtriya Janata Dal have called meetings of their respective party leaders on Thursday, to finalise their strategies.
