GST: Busy Nitish Kumar won't attend launch at Parliament tonight

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar won't attend today's big GST launch at the Parliament in New Delhi since he's busy with prior engagements. The Parliament event, where India's biggest tax reform since Independence will come into effect, will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee. Yesterday, the Congress said it wouldn't participate in the event, after it was reported that Sonia Gandhi would meet with former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to take a call. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress (TMC) and M Karunanidhi's Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) have already boycotted the event.
