The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) and the Social Security System (SSS) opened emergency loan programs for their members and pensioners affected by typhoons. The GSIS said its members and pensioners may borrow P20,000 under the Emergency Loan Program. Those who have due and demandable loan accounts (have arrears of over six months) can also renew their previous emergency loan from a different calamity (excluded under the Covid-19 Emergency Loan Program). Macasaet said members who already availed of the Covid-19 Emergency Loan Program may apply for the Multi-Purpose Loan program if they still need additional funds.
