Saye SuahBarclayville City, November 20, 2024 (GNN)- The Resident Judge of the Grand Kru County 12th Judicial Circuit is encouraging all judiciary actors, especially magistrates and specialized court judges, to use their gavels wisely in the fair dispensation of justice across the country. The Grand Kru Resident Judge stressed that the gavel symbolizes their authority and responsibility, and it is crucial for magistrates to exercise their power wisely and fairly, adding by doing so, they are not only upholding justice but also fostering confidence in the judicial process among the public. The Resident Judge of the Grand Kru 12th Judicial Circuit also issued a strong warning to local court magistrates in the County, urging them to refrain from hearing cases that exceed their legal jurisdiction. He noted that it has come to his attention that some magistrates are handling cases outside their purview, constitutes a violation of judicial laws. Judge Gbeneweleh has threatened to take administrative action against any local court judges found to be in violation, should subsequent evidence arise.
