Regional News of Wednesday, 18 March 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comThe Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Anthony Kwasi Sarpong, has explained the motive behind the institution’s recent donation to the National Chief Imam. Speaking to the media, Sarpong noted that the donation was made to commemorate the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. According to him, Ramadan is a period that promotes kindness and generosity, which informed the Authority’s decision to support the Muslim community. At GRA, we say ‘Ghana first.’ We serve the nation and raise revenue for national development. “Today, we are here with food items and a cash donation, presented through the Chief Imam, to support our brothers and sisters who are fasting during this period,” he said.
