Grameenphone (GP) has continued its commitment to stand beside these people in need through disaster response initiatives by distributing relief packs to 100,000 families in the most flood-affected districts across Bangladesh, says a press release. Grameenphone has partnered with the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society to distribute relief among the flood victims. The government appreciates the flood relief initiative undertaken by Grameenphone, and we encourage others in the private sector to come forward too." Prof. Dr. Md Habibe Millat, Member of Parliament, Vice Chairman, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, said: "This is not the first time Grameenphone proactively partnered with Red Crescent to support Bangladesh's people. I can recall our earlier partnership with Grameenphone's and the notable contribution during the earlier flood response," he added.
