Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) spent his first week at work since the government reopened harassing a Muslim colleague on Twitter with baseless suggestions that she hates Jewish people. Just learned Freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar was also put on this committee w oversight of US foreign policy. Zeldin didn’t specify in his tweetstorm why he was so upset to see Democrats assign Omar to the subcommittee. Zeldin tagged Omar in the tweet with the anti-Semitic voicemail because he wanted to know “if his pro BDS, anti Israel colleague disagreed with it,” Vincentz continued. In 2015 he met with the Long Island Oath Keepers, a New York chapter of a far-right anti-government militia movement.
