Sports News of Sunday, 28 April 2019Source: Ghananewsagency.orgGOC president calls on Associations to be transparentPresident, Ghana Olympic Committee(GOC) - Ben Nunoo MensahBen Nunoo Mensah, President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), has called on sports federations and association, to be transparent and accountable in their financial administration, to ensure proper corporate governance. He said most sports federations and associations, have not accounted appropriately for funds for funds sourced for them to run their activities, adding that, this practice would affect their future operations. According to Mr. Nunoo Mensah, federations like netball, bodybuilding, beach soccer, rowing and canoeing, basketball, chess and football, have still not accounted for the Association of National Olympic Committee of Africa (ANOCA) grant given to them in 2017. I am asking the Secretary General and the Treasurer to work together on this and have it sorted out. He said plans were in place to enhance the operations of the GOC and their relationship with the federations and associations.
