Toronto FC goalkeeper Quentin Westberg signed a contract to remain with the club, the team announced on Friday. Westberg posted a 9-9-9 record with four shutouts in 28 matches last season. The 33-year-old allowed six goals on 23 shots during four postseason matches, winning three of them. “Q had a great first season with us and was integral in helping us win the Eastern Conference and advance to MLS Cup,” Toronto FC general manager Ali Curtis said in a release. “We’re very excited that we were able to reach agreement on a new contract.”Westberg joined Toronto from AJ Auxerre in Ligue 2, the second division of French soccer.
