General News of Thursday, 9 April 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comThe Comptroller-General of Immigration (CGI), Samuel Basintale Amadu, has unveiled a package of welfare and infrastructure initiatives aimed at significantly improving the working conditions of officers within the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS). During a two-day working visit to selected Immigration commands within the Greater Accra Region, the CGI engaged officers and familiarised himself with their operational efficiency. Additionally, he announced collaborations with firms to supply building materials for officers’ housing needs, repayable through convenient instalment plans. Regarding infrastructure development, the CGI highlighted the ongoing construction of modern offices in seven regions. As part of the visit, CGI Amadu toured the Adenta and Legon sectors, as well as the Abokobi District Command.
