We secretly envied teachers' pets and also wanted to be just one teacher’s pet. Suffice it to say, I never was a teacher’s pet. So, when a friend of mine recently told me about a colleague who seemed to be a boss’s pet, I was really taken aback. I used to tell my nephews and nieces not to worry about the teachers’ pets as the phase will end.
