University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), has announced the appointment of Zoaib Hoosen, former managing director of Microsoft South Africa, as an Executive-in-Residence at the business school. The Executive-in-Residence programme is designed to provide seasoned executives the opportunity to immerse themselves in the business school environment whilst also enriching student learning and faculty development. Hoosen’s duties as an Executive-in-Residence will entail bringing additional business acumen and perspective to the School. Hoosen, whose appointment, effective from 1st of March 2019, is the first formally appointed executive-in-residence who will work closely with GIBS. “At GIBS, we aim to produce well-rounded African leaders who engage with the world to make a positive difference.
