In an interview on JoyNews monitored by GhanaWeb on March 10, 2026, Ofosu noted that about GH¢50 million belonging to Chairman Wontumi has been frozen. He further explained that similar actions have been taken in other high-profile cases, including those involving Kwabena Adu-Boahene and Gifty Oware-Mensah. According to him, the state has so far frozen about GH¢1.5 billion in total. “For instance, in Chairman Wontumi’s case alone, close to GH¢50 million in his account has been frozen.
