General News of Tuesday, 15 October 2024Source: www.ghanaweb.comThe Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) have warned the general public to desist from wearing military-pattern uniforms and using military accouterments. “The attention of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has been drawn to the unauthorized and unlawful use of military-pattern uniforms and accouterments by protesters during demonstrations, as well as by individuals providing security for some public figures. “GAF has also noted with dismay similar illegal acts among persons operating in illegal mining areas (galamsey sites) and some political activists. Such actions risk creating the false impression that these individuals are part of GAF, thereby tarnishing the reputation of the Armed Forces. GAF reassures the public of its unwavering commitment to protecting citizens and maintaining the territorial integrity of Ghana.
