The Lake Wanaka Outlet Track and the Upper Clutha River Track also remain closed due to flooding but staff were continuing to monitor the river level and some track repairs would be required once the water had receded, Ms Grieve said. Ms Grieve said NZ Transport Agency had advised the existing Blue Pools track and car park would remain available. The Newcastle Track and Diamond Lake Track have also been inspected by staff and remain open, she said.
