Environment Canada says weather conditions are favourable for the development of funnel clouds in the Greater Toronto Area on Saturday. In a weather advisory, the federal weather agency said it received reports of funnel clouds and waterspouts late Saturday morning. More funnel clouds and landspouts are possible until about 8 p.m., according to Alexandre Parent, weather preparedness meteorologist for Environment Canada, based in Montreal. Parent said in an interview with CBC Toronto on Saturday that funnel clouds have been spotted in Thorold, south of St. Catharines, and in Niagara Falls. "But anybody who sees a funnel cloud should take shelter as soon as possible.
