John Middleton (25, left), Zac Roberts (24) and Kyle Sutcliffe (23), all of Auckland, play mini golf at Wal’s Plant Land, in Mosgiel, yesterday. It was No 39 of the 86 mini golf courses they plan to play during their tour of New Zealand. Mini golf had become a way for the friends to enjoy a laugh and lift each other’s spirits following difficult times, Mr Middleton said. The winner of the day’s mini golf gets one of the two camper van beds to themselves, while the others share the second. Par Four will end their tour on July 11 back in Auckland.
