‌Dubai Airports have confirmed that all flight operations at Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC) are suspended until further notice. An Emirates flight to Dubai due to depart from Newcastle International Airport at 1.10pm (EK036) was cancelled on Saturday. ChronicleLive has reported how the UK Foreign Office issued a major warning over travel to the Middle East. British Airways confirmed it had cancelled flights to Tel Aviv and Bahrain until March 3. Reports also suggest an overnight BA flight from Heathrow to Doha turned back mid-journey and was returning to London.
