Office Outlet went into administration in March when it announced it was on the search for a new owner to manage its 90 UK stores. Office Outlet first made headlines in 2016 after taking over more than 100 Staples branches. At the time, new owner Hilco Capital, rebranded all remaining stores to 'Office Outlet'. However, the retailer has no connection to the online-only business which still trades under the Staples UK title. 16 Office Outlet stores closing in April 2019
