During the 70s, 80s and up to his arrest in 1994, self-confessed monster Barry Bennell destroyed a succession of young lives. Swapped young victims with other paedophiles - including Frank Roper, the Manchester-based scout who abused England star Paul Stewart. The son of a Manchester pub landlord, Bennell was a talented amateur footballer but became well known as a junior scout and coach. In the early 80s, Bennell teamed up with fellow paedophile Bruce McLean coaching in and around Manchester and Cheshire. "You could pinpoint young boys in the right direction and help them with their careers and wishes to become successful footballers.
