54 56 125More than 50 House Democrats now support an impeachment inquiry against President Donald J. Trump, according to a New York Times survey. Many House Democrats who do not currently support impeachment proceedings say investigations of Mr. Trump should continue. The White House has stonewalled these inquiries. Congress was in recess this week, but some Democrats called for impeachment after the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, said that he could not clear Mr. Trump of obstruction of justice.
