According to COMAC, fuel could sell for as high as GH¢17 per litre if the ongoing joint US-Israel war against Iran continues. He stated that crude oil prices could surge between $110 and $120 per barrel in the coming days if the situation is not addressed. Dr Oppong explained that increases in international crude oil prices typically translate into higher local pump prices once new shipments are procured at elevated cost levels. He added that the impact of rising crude oil prices is already being felt globally, with several countries recording sharp increases in petrol and diesel prices.
