PUTRAJAYA: Fuel prices are down across the board from Feb 8 to 14 due to a drop in global fuel prices, says Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng. They are below the capped prices of RM2.08 and RM2.18 per litre for RON95 and diesel respectively. "Consumers can enjoy lower petrol prices while being assured that the capped price of RM2.08 per liter for RON95 will be enforced should fuel prices go up," Lim said at a press conference on Friday (Feb 7). He added that this was in line with the Pakatan Harapan manifesto to stablise petrol prices. Asked how much the Government would be spending on fuel subsidies this year, Lim said it was still too early to tell.
