Photo: BSSDHAKA, April 7, 2026 (BSS) - Adviser to the Prime Minister on the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Zahed Ur Rahman, has said that although there is a slight shortage in fuel supply, the situation remains under control as the government works to ease pressure through subsidies and strict monitoring. Rahman also highlighted that the introduction of the "Krishak (Farmer) Card" in the agriculture sector is in its final stage. The programme is expected to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on the first day of Pohela Boishakh, with an allocation of Tk 1,150 crore under the Annual Development Programme (ADP). Under the Ministry of Water Resources, canal excavation has begun in 54 districts, which is expected to boost agricultural production and improve water management.
