By Daymond SteerFRYEBURG, Maine — Selectmen made no formal announcement after their emergency meeting Wednesday following two tragic boating accidents over the past weekend in which a woman drowned and two officers were injured, one critically. Town Manager Sharon Jackson told WGME news the meeting concerned legal issues surrounding the accidents. He recommended that anyone interested in paddling ask the staff at the Saco River Recreation Council at Swans Falls or local liveries for guidance. Game wardens continue to investigate a separate incident involving two Fryeburg police officers who crashed their patrol boat on the Saco River as they responded to the incident above.
