Clean natural gas as a source of electricity is therefore a logical immediate choice. China’s late winter hunger for natural gas has set abuzz the global shipping industry. This is quite unusual, as natural gas demand usually tapers towards January-end with warmer weather beginning to creep in. The U.S., despite the cacophony of a looming trade war with China, is part of the gas resource pool. Despite emergency measures such as snipping of gas to fertiliser plants, and stepping up domestic gas production, millions were deprived of essential heating.
