A number of prominent drinking spots throughout the city say that their frosé sales declined dramatically this summer over last. A case in point: The East Village’s Bar Primi, which has been hailed as one of the city’s go-to spots for the frozen drink. Now, in part because of increased competition, managing partner Justin Sievers said frosé sales have taken a 30% hit this summer. For starters, most establishments say that rosé wine continues to be a strong seller, separate from the frozen cocktail.
