PARIS -- Britain's Chris Froome clinched a third straight and fourth overall Tour de France title on Sunday, with the final stage won by Dutchman Dylan Groenewegen. Froome, who won the Tour for the first time in 2013 and then again 2015 and 2016, is the seventh rider to claim the yellow jersey without a stage win over the three weeks. "It is an amazing feeling, there is something magical about the Champs Elysees when you have spent three weeks thinking about being here in this moment," Froome said. Froome is now just one title away from record five-time Tour winners Jacques Anquetil, Eddie Merckx, Bernard Hinault and Miguel Indurain. Only the sprinters had something to fight for, with Groenewegen beating German Andre Greipel from the front for his first-ever stage win in a mass finish after several unsuccessful breakaways.
