(Reuters) - Four-time Tour de France champion Chris Froome says he has already re-focused his thoughts on October's Vuelta a Espana after being left out of the Ineos Grenadiers squad. "Obviously I would have liked to have been (at the Tour de France)," Froome told ITV during their coverage of this year's opening stage around the city of Nice. At that point it made more sense to re-adjust, move the goalposts and re-focus on targetting the Vuelta." While he would not have been in the form to target a record-equalling fifth Tour de France, Froome said he would have been prepared to help Egan Bernal retain his title. Froome confirmed he would ride in the Tirreno-Adriatico and train at altitude ahead of the Vuelta which starts on Oct. 20 and promises a brutal route.
