From the FLQ crisis to Trump crisis, five decades on the front lines of the world
This will be my last weekly column for the Toronto Star. For me, it has been more than five decades of daily journalism with the Montreal Star, CBC Radio and Television, Al Jazeera English, and the Toronto Star. I remember writing in 2014 on the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War. Loading... Loading... Loading... Loading... Loading... Loading...My career as a professional journalist began as a reporter with the Montreal Star during the late 1960s and early 1970s. My small role as part of a more experienced Montreal Star team was to be a witness.
