Oldfield, who bought a bottling plant west of New Plymouth two years ago, has ditched plastic bottles in favour of glass bottles to sell his spring water in. Oldfield waited to replace plastic after he "inherited" 2000 750ml plastic bottles with the business, and began trading under the 'ClearAz' label. He still supplies plastic 15lt water coolers, and 20lt plastic containers to businesses but glass bottles made more sense for smaller users, he said.
