From Cooldowns To Weapon Loadouts, 'Destiny 2' Has Hurt PvE To Help PvP

There’s too much focus on PvP, and these changes are really sapping the life out of PvE. The idea that PvP is unduly influencing PvE is an old problem in Destiny. The two most major changes that seem unduly influenced by PvP are new, dramatically higher cooldowns on skills, and the entirety of the new weapon loadout system. I have nothing against Destiny PvP, but Bungie has definitely gone too far this time after years of hinting that the Crucible was their priority. The nature of Destiny demands that PvP and PvE be balanced separately, and when PvP is prioritized, it becomes an incredible drain on PvE, which is what we’re seeing manifested in this beta.
