Auckland Tuatara pitcher Jared Koenig showed why the Oakland Athletics picked him up for next year with another outstanding performance in the 5-2 win over the Sydney Blue Sox on Saturday. Koenig got his second win of the season, striking out seven and giving up two earned runs to continue his outstanding form. Koenig has become a real star at the Tuatara this season, with fans lining for selfies with him after games. While the Tuatara would obviously love to keep hold of Koenig all season, they will be looked upon favourably by the Athletics and other MLB clubs, by doing right by Koenig.
