In the fall of 2008, we heard a hit single (“Womanizer”), saw a toned body and called it: Britney has risen, Hallelujah. For as long as we’ve known her, Britney Spears has been the face of the highs and lows of fame. In an August appearance on the Today show after releasing her latest album, Glory, Spears said, “I don’t see it as a comeback. 1 she’s used to, it bested her previous release, Britney Jean, not just in numbers but in critical response. Because she not only survived 2007, but has come out better for it.
