A new but familiar line of merchandise — T-shirts and other clothing emblazoned with the phrase “Alberta Vs. Everybody” — is one of many pop-up apparel companies that appears to be capitalizing on feelings of Western alienation. And it’s not from Peace Collective, a company established in 2014 after founder Yanal Dhailieh wore his first Toronto vs. Everybody T-shirt to a Raptors game. A website for Republic of Western Canada apparel has been circulating in Wexit groups on social media as well. There’s also Wexit Merch, where one of the top selling products is a black baseball cap with the word WEXIT in white capital letters.
