A care board and NHS trust are asking residents to be prepared ahead of the junior doctors’ strike. The call from NHS Frimley Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust follows news of strikes by several associations. The British Medical Association (BMA), British Dental Association (BDA) and Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association (HCSA) have announced 72 hours of continuous strike action by junior doctors. The strike action will start at 7am on Wednesday, June 14 until 7am on Saturday, June 17. The latest strikes come in the seventh month of industrial action across the NHS, with previous action by junior doctors’ seeing approximately 27,000 staff off per day and 196,000 hospital appointments disrupted.
