The relationship between the Philippines and South Korea has prospered since the start of their diplomatic ties in 1949. The countries’ close relationship is evident in so many ways--not the least of which comes in the form of giving. Through the years, South Korea has been significantly assisting the Philippines in its military endeavours and maritime activities. In addition, the South Korean government has also pledged $5M USD for the rehabilitation efforts in the province. World renowned figure skater Kim YunaHallyu stars step inKorean Idols also played a part in giving financial assistance.
