Old friends of Robin Williams have recalled his drug addiction and said his cocaine addiction turned him into a “monster”. But before his acting career took off, Williams was a comedian who battled a serious drug addiction in the late 1970s and early 1980s. In fact, Williams’ friend Allen Stephan revealed in the Vice documentary series “The Dark Side of Comedy” that “Mrs. You’re Robin Williams!’ And I don’t think after that she stopped doing drugs when she had to act. The former actor’s longtime friend Mike Binder recalled Williams’ reaction to “a gram of coke” during the couple’s Hollywood outing in the 1980s.
