Credit: Epic GamesLong ago, when the trees were still young, Epic Games wasn't doing any kind of competetive-level Fortnite. To fill that void, however, we got Friday Fortnite, an unofficial tournament that brought together some of the biggest Twitch stars in the game at that time. According to organizer Keemstar 10.1 million unique viewers tuned in, though judging by his tweet I'm not sure "unique viewers" is the right term here, because he notes viewers could be counted twice on different streams. Competitive Fortnite has been through a lot of change over the past year, and it's likely to see more. But I think Epic Games would be wise to remember the success of Friday Fortnite despite somewhat unconventional rules.
