Despite agreeing that Mr Beckwith, 41, did not initiate sexual activity with the complainant, who is in her twenties and was referred to as Person A, the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal (SDT) fined him £35,000 and ordered him to pay £200,000 in costs.
