The police said that a man was indiscriminately attacking passersby with an iron rod in Choura area late Sunday night, near Sector 22 of Noida. The police termed it a ‘mad spree’ and said that the man could have been under the influence of drugs. The injured man, Rakesh, was rushed to a private hospital and he is said to be in a critical condition. Following the attack on the three persons, Sanjay started running directionlessly and hit whoever was in his reach. The police reached the spot and rushed the injured persons, including Sanjay, to the hospital.
