French rally driver Sébastien Ogier has successfully reclaimed his WRC Safari Rally title after a hard-fought battle between him and defending champion Kalle Rovanperä of Finland. Ogier navigated by Vincent Landias clocked 3:30:42.5 to finish ahead of the Finnish teammate with a 6.7 seconds advantage. Rovanpera navigated by Jonne Haulttunen timed 3:30:49.2 to settle for second while Elfyn Evans completed the podium in 3:33.41. We had a lot of issues to face but it could have been a more comfortable rally for us in terms of pace. A lot of misfortune but we brought it home," said Ogier after the victory.
