Hollande won't be hitting the French Rivieria this summer, at least not on holiday. File photo: AFPThe Local · 3 Aug 2016, 10:32Published: 03 Aug 2016 10:32 GMT+02:00There's just too much going on to risk taking summer holidays this year, at least for the French government. Anyone who's been in Paris in August will know that the city goes dead while everyone seeks out the sun. After all, it wouldn't look very good if there was another attack and the top brass were known to be soaking up the sun on a yacht on the French Riviera. Other top ministers have announced plans to travel within France's borders, including a camping trip for Axelle Lemaire, the deputy minister for digital affairs, and a visit to Touquet in northern France for Minister of Economy Emmanuel Macron.
