PIC brokered a $4.1 million deal between Oat Canada and Roquette Frères SA, a French food processor, to develop new ingredients using Canadian oats. Photo by Oat Canada For Oat Canada, the deal could mean that it will no longer have to ship oats back and forth across the border, reducing their carbon footprint and freight costs. The company will also use the new oat ingredients to experiment with other dairy alternatives.
