According to French newspaper Le Figaro, about 10 French ambassadors to the Middle East and North Africa have written a joint memo registering their disagreement with President Emmanuel Macron. The letter expresses dissatisfaction with Macron’s pro-Israel stance during the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestinian fighter group Hamas. The memo says that Macron’s policy is “misunderstood” by Arab leaders and raises concerns that this policy will hurt the country’s interests in the region, Le Figaro reported.
