CAIRO – 11 March 2020: Ambassador of France Stephane Romatet inaugurated the exhibition "Aesthetics of Expression" in the memory of late eminent artist Omar el-Nagdi, who died in 2019.The pioneering third generation artist was born in 1931. Nagdi had his own art inspiration and expression, which Al Masar Gallery has shared with art collectors and lovers from Egypt, the Middle East and from all over the world. He obtained such profuse imagery by combining poetry with elements inherited from the 20th century's artistic trends namely expressionism, cubism and fauvism. The paintings in his upcoming exhibition fuse different sources of inspiration. Nagdi paints the liveliness of the traditional Egyptian social scenes.About the "Aesthetics of Expression" exhibition:The exhibition shows the aesthetics of the impulsive expression generated by Nagdi in reaction to any theme. His style of expression is rather determined by this creative emotional moment.Expressionism liberates the artist to move from one style to another.
