PARIS—The longest transport strike in French history is petering out, as cash-strapped employees have gone back to work rather than press the fight against pension overhauls sought by President Emmanuel Macron. Service on the nation’s train lines was largely back to normal on Monday. All metro lines in the French capital were operating, most at full capacity.
